“A gift is as a precious stone in the eyes of him that has it: where it turns, it prospers.” Pr. 17:8
In another translation, the first part is directly translated as “instruction” being precious. I was finding that gift does not translate that way. But stone does! (He is our cornerstone)
Stone in the hebrew, translates as a “building” stone.
How precious is the gift of instruction in the way of building stones…and to him that it is precious and applies it, it prospers…Another verse to contend with on this topic…..1Pe 2:7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
Is he this precious stone to us? A stone of instruction. Hence, why Mary found it so easy to sit at His feet…:)
