O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory. Ps. 108:1
Do we give praise even with the things that we consider glory in an earthly form? Even the things in which He has given? Do we give honour unto His Name, with our heart FIXED, constant, stable, resistant of the devil, established, able, believing, to do so?
David is actually speaking of his ability and skill to play the harp, the skill of speaking, writing, praising with his tongue – in all these things is his HEART fixed or just in the motion of speaking His praise?
Ps. 108:2 Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
“I myself” will praise thee early, when no one is watching..One way in which we engage to fix our hearts solely upon Him.
