There are two ways in which we can use the ‘hammer’ of the word of God. One is like the way Babylon uses it.
Isa 41:7 So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, and he that smootheth with the hammer him that smote the anvil, saying, It is ready for the sodering: and he fastened it with nails, that it should not be moved.
To make their gods, they used this hammer to soder and fasten together with nails. “To build their temple, their church.” This is Babylon. They take a “covering, but not with my spirit (Is. 30:1).”
Those in Jerusalem, allow the word be a hammer, to crush their inward spirits to conform into the likeness of Christ. Jer 23:29
Instead of setting their hearts as the heart of God Ez 28:6 They allow the weight of the Word, to work in and through them.
