A Glimpse or All?

Untitled

As I was driving one day, this beautiful little rainbow appeared on the rainbow, and consistently stayed for a good length of time. At first I was annoyed, because it was quite distracting in the middle of the road like that. But then I decided to find the other part, that too was also distracting when driving.

But is this how we take our walk with the Lord, at first glimpse are we satisfied? Or are we so taken up and distracted by Him that nothing else seems to matter anymore and we are constantly looking for more of Him wherever we go. One part of the rainbow was not enough, I wanted to see the WHOLE thing.

Let us not be content in ourselves, with the little that we have received from the Lord but to CONTINUE on to seek ALL of Him in His fullness.

Col 1:23 “…continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven..”

Eph 3:17-19 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,  May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;  And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
